Hello to all that are still looking in on this site.
In my absence I have been going through the archives here and poking my nose into in some dark corners. I have even talked to a few "Giants" and discovered some of the stories behind the stories that we have only been getting bits and pieces of.
Has anyone besides me noticed how the "New Website" has drawn all the people from the Holmes/Roberts camp over there? Looks like a pretty clear division into the Holmes/Roberts & Thomas/Petrasch camps to me. They have Clay Worst at the Helm, Matthew Roberts as First Mate, Tom Glover as Chief Navigator, Peter Esposito as ships Anchor Man. All Holmes/Roberts people. And since they have been gone, not a single argument or bit of mud slinging on here. They disrupted every attempt by anyone to have a decent conversation about the stone maps on this site and then started their own stone map topic and came over here to advertise it! What a bunch of hypocrites! Behind the scenes, Matthew Roberts claims Helen Corbin stole his info and put it in her book without his consent and that T. Glover & Co.dug up his secret Indian graves. Clay Worst goes around teling everyone that Greg Davis stole a bunch of Al Reser's documents that Clay was supposed to get when Al died, and telling people that T. Glover suckered him into sharing all of his Holmes information so he could wrie his books about it. Oh yeah, this is solid info, and it keeps getting better! T. Glover gets everything Clay Worst knows about the Holmes story and then gets Brownie holmes heirs to sign something giving him full rights to the Holmes story, and tells Worst he cannot publish anything about the Holmes manuscript without his permission, and then he publishes earth-shattering news about the Hatt family history without ever even having a conversation with Jim Hatt to verify any of it. When Hatt started telling people that he never talked to to Glover or gave him that story, the whole Holmes/Roberts camp set out on a Get Jim Hatt Campaign! Even Joe fell for that one and jumped on Peter's band wagon, only to be kicked off again when Peter was finished using him. What ever his name was (Sorry I can't think of it right now), courted a friendship with Joe long enough to find out where his area was and then reported it all to his good buddy Peter! But face to face they all smile at everyone else and act like old friends. Ever wonder who Novice is and what his agenda was? You see where he is now don't you? I could mention a few other names but I have to save some of my thunder for a later date.Who needs those Two-Faced, back-stabbing Liars anyway? Let them do their back stabbing to each other over there in their own little corner of the world!
I have been reading some of Peter's nonsense over there. I know if I disputed him on that site they would just delete it, so I am thinking about responding to some of it here (in the free speech forum if necessary) where Freedom still rings and he can’t delete it. His B.S. is driving me crazy! I always figured that rascal Clay Worst was behind a lot of the discontent on this site (knowing full well that it is not his style to speak out himself, but encourage his followers to spread his mud for him) and now that I see his face on their home page (Mr. AMDMIN himself) I believe it even more! M. Roberts is now setting everyone up over there to believe that S.C. made the discovery about Waltz's sister in Missouri just before he died, so he can reintroduce the fake documents about the Warrant Draft and Ober's Manafest he slipped to Helen Corbin and get that topic going again in a place where they can delete any questions about authenticity.Lots of LUCK! Anyone can still read what's there and post on the same subject here where it can't be deleted!
Look around peoples, Ron, Jim, Tom and Bob 4 of the current big 5 (All from the Thomas/Petrash Camp) have been beat around on this site pretty hard for the last few years. Some more than others but who is the one man of the BIG 5 missing from that list? Mr. ADMIN of the new site of course, Now just how is it that he escaped the rath that all the others had to put up with on this site, and what does that tell you? Same old Holmes/Roberts B.S. that has been going on for over 100 years, with the only difference being a new man at the Helm! When they saw that they could not take over this site, they set out to destroy it by trying to take down one man from the Thomas/Petrasch camp at a time. Make a lot of noise and blow smoke in the air to create kaos here while building their own safe retreat from it all over there. What a plan! And they think they pulled it off, but I haven't heard the fat lady sing yet.
.
The stories about the Holmes/Roberts Camp digging up Indian graves and setting fire to whole mountains just so they can search one ravine are going to catch up to them someday. (If they don't catch up to each other first) Who’s going to run their "New Website" when they are all wearing pink underwear?
I know a lot of Thomas/Petrasch folks were run off this site when the Holmes/Roberts backstabbers were trying to take it over. No grave diggers here anymore, no forest fire setters here anymore, and no backstabbers here any more either! How about some of you Thomas/Petrasch people coming back and giving this site another try? Now that the line has been drawn in the sand and the camps have been divided, you shouldn't have to be so worried about watching the guy beside you here anymore.
That's my 30 cents worth, now I have to get ready for work and go back to the real world. But I will return when the site comes alive again.

Corbin E-Mail
Krf,
Please repost the Greg Davis-Bob Corbin e-mail that was previously deleted. I assume it was the admin who deleted it? I’m still interested in the timeline of when that conversation took place. (In 1964/65 or Later).
Novice hasn’t gone anywhere. He is in the phone book which I’m sure you know.

Got me excited when I saw the post. I think it still is relevant to post concerning those differences and the everlasting feud, but taking some of this stuff too personal is a bit over the top. Those with the biggest axes to grind are relatively silent.
As far as the 2 camps are concerned, the split currently has nothing to do with Petrasch and Holmes. Seeing how neither have any heirs with good first hand information, it makes the feud a bit pathetic as far as its original intentions.
Brownie wouldn't have tried to make peace with the Petraschs if Dick had all the marbles. In fact Dick Holmes waited before searching for the mine. Seems a bit odd to me he let the Thomas/Petrasch group take off unless he was watching and waiting. Of course Dick Holmes would never been able to approach either Petrasch after what happened. Of course the Holmes side could give you an answer or two why, but anyone who understands or knows would not want to get into that. Remember it was Rhiney who hated Dick Holmes with a passion.
Of course the story told by Julia and Rhiney has a bunch of twists and turns as sidenotes that are relevant and are pieces of info that they could not have known. That is in contrast to the Holmes manuscript that has fabrications that were used to fill in the story but very inaccurate. So many clues that tie closely to one another and really 3 distinct parties and a nice bit of treachery and betrayal that would make a nice little movie of the week.
At the rendevous there were 2 distinct camps and a few who drifted between. Funny how some stories seem so far apart, but are very relevant when the unprejudiced mind allows the spaces in between room to breathe.
If only Tex Barkley would have written a book...............
