Just so we won't let Peter have all the fun on bringing up knew topics , what does anyone know about a spiral staircase in the mountain?

I myself have not heard of it. Please elaborate.

I do not know alot, that is why I trew it out here. I have met several that have said it exists and have been inside this supposed opening with steps that lead downward. I know noone that has found anything yet, but it is an interesting story.

I do not know if this what you mean, but in a book I have there is a story of a cave in the Superstition Mountains that becomes a tunnel with cut stones. Then there seems to have been a room with some artifacts and a spiral staircase. One man went down the staircase and came to a room with a giant throne and some more artifacts. Is this the story you heard?
