Peralta Stone Maps Secret Codes Revealed
Thanks for the welcome
Thanks for the welcome guy's, I call them as I see them. " Wyat Westwood " is no more Legendary and Famous than anyone else in this forum. Just becaue someone puts up a web site with a few links to somethings doesnt mean squat! Yea he has found some monuments and trailmarkers but like I said who hasn't.
Hey Wyatt, I'll ask it again........what makes you Legendary and Famous? Who bestowed that title to you other than yourself? Probably no one other than you, like I said you are a Legend in your own mind.

legendary?
wyatt....no one is questioning your treasure hunting ability or your findings...what they are questioning is your legendary status....in their minds legendary means well known...eg....the stuff legends are made of.....the problem they have with you deeming yourself legendary..is that none of us have heard of you....and take my word for it...we have heard of all the legendary treasure hunters..even the ones that dont want anyone to know of their exploits...

Could we call a halt to this before it gets out of hand?
OK, Wyatt says he's a legend. Not many people know this, but I'm actually quite famous too. So what? He can say whatever he wants on his site, and on this one too. If I don't see anything in his pictures, that's not his problem.
Stop jumping the guy. We've all been down this ugly path before, and it's as pointless now as it was then. Wyatt, pay no attention. Feel welcome, expound any theories you like, and say whatever you please. No one here has any better credentials than you do.
In fact, now that I look at his web site, it says:
"Arizona's Famous Legendary Treasure & Gold Mine Hunter Wyatt Westwood"
This tells me that Wyatt hunts "Arizona's Famous Legendary Treasures and Gold Mines" - not that he himself is legendary or famous. So lighten up, everyone.

Hello again everyone, looks like I ruffled some feathers, so what! My whole point about “ Wyatt Westwood “ is that he boasts himself as Legendary and Famous, no matter how you read it Wiz. This guy is no more famous than I am, Wyatt I have nothing against you personally!
AzDave35….you hit the nail right on the head.
Did not plan on anything getting out of hand here, from what I have read on this forum it seems like this kinda thing happens all the time. Here comes Mr. Wyatt Westwood with his claims and photo’s and someone doesn’t believe a lot of this nonsense and makes a comment about it, if somebody’s feelings got hurt….too bad, life is rough, and so is the Treasure Hunting Community.
So Wyatt, keep posting and I’ll keep critiquing as you have requested.

i dont think anyone can really argue with tjhunters assessment wyatt."legendary" people usually become "legendary" through their actions, deeds etc and the appraisal of such by others, NOT by anointing themselves a legendary figure. keep posting, who knows ,you might win the forum s respect by "making us "more informed" creatures.if you succeed in that you may well go a little way along the path to real stardom and eventual "legendary" status.

Is He A Legend In His Own Mind?
Wiz,
I found myself agreeing with you for a minute there.
That immediatley caused me to look a little more intensly at Wyatt's site.
In the meantime, I believe he validated TJ's comments with a post of his own. If that is not enough for you, try this from Wyatt's own discription of himself directly from his site.
"Wyatt Westwood the Legendary Treasure Hunter Explores lost Legends of Treasures in the Southwest US and around the World."
Not that it means anything, as we all believe we are legends. He just has no problelm saying it.
Respectfully,
Joe

wyatt earp
maybe he thinks he is wyatt earp reincarnated....watch what you say to him...he might invite you to a shootout at the OK corral
Legendary
I have been silent on this subject for far too long. I wouldn't want any of you to think I have died and reincarnated myself as "Lazarus, The Famous And Legendary Living Dead Guy". Let there be no doubt...I too am a legend in "My Own Mine" but quite frankly, I can't even spell "Nom De Plume" without a spotter. I know when I have been out classed.
Hello again all,
Dutch Elm Disease, you as well as AzDave35 have hit the nail right on the head.
Wyatt………” True Legend Status “, how does one attain that? Please tell us all how you became Legendary and Famous.
As I stated earlier I have nothing against you personally, just your claims of being Legendary and Famous! I do have to admit the “ Kino Shades “ is one of the funniest things that I have read in this forum in a long time. I just couldn’t resist myself from joining and making a post about it. I’m still laughing!!!!! The crack about the TV Guide Crossword puzzle was out of line, I apologize for that.
I never said that I was better than you or anyone else, but you don’t see little ole me saying that I am “ Legendary and Famous “.
No, my Treasure Hunting Days are over with; actually it was more prospecting than anything else. These tired ole bones just don’t function like they used too, especially with a total hip replacement. When I was actively prospecting I didn’t need a web site to make me feel Legendary or Famous. I have been reading posts in this forum for over a year and find it quite entertaining and educational. Wish this kinda thing was around when I was hunting sure would have eliminated some hard leg work. I find the Dutchman Lore quite fascinating; of course I have my own ideas as to what happened. I don’t think the Lost Dutchman Mine or stash or whatever it is will ever be found. Too much BS mixed in with fact. I think the Peralta Stones are a hoax as well. But that is my own opinion of which I am free to express anytime anywhere.
The only portfolio that I have is for investment and retirement purpose’s, Gee does that make me Legendary and Famous?
Wyatt…..if you want peoples respect in this forum, you have to earn it, not by making a website with photo’s and calling yourself Legendary and Famous when your not. Keep in mind this is a public forum and everyone is entitled to their own opinion good or bad, if you cant stand the heat, get out of the fire before you get burned. The people in this forum will eat you alive!
By the way, the name is Thomas James Huntger, not Hunter.
Speaking of names, Wyatt William Westwood sounds so Hollywoodish, as if it were made up! I suppose you already have the actor picked out to play you when the movie comes out about “ The Life and Times of the Legendary and Famous Wyatt William Westwood “.

Well, you know, it's possible that Wyatt has earned that legendary status after all. I'd be willing to bet that that last posting will have Dutch hunters talking about it around campfires for a little while. I don't believe I've ever encountered such an incredible ego.
It's funny, all the genuine legendary treasure hunters I've met have been very pleasant, nice people. Guys like Clay Worst and Ron Feldman. The same goes for the other ones I've only heard about. Hmmm...
Wyatt, I wish you well in your hunt. I hope your map interpretation leads you to... well, whatever it is you want to find. I'm not being sarcastic, I mean exactly what I said.
But if you'll accept a little advice, offered with the best of intentions: You're quite cocky and arrogant. This is not a flame, only an observation. And it isn't necessarily a bad thing! But, don't let that blind you to the truth about the Superstitions. This is not a place for arrogance, but for humility. The Superstitions can kill you in the blink of an eye, and that's something that should never leave your mind. You hunt for treasure in the Superstitions at their sufference, and you live or die out there at their whim.
Be safe, and good luck.

Legendary
Wiz,
you are always so diplomatic. Wyatt may not have been a legend last week, but he has certainly become infamous around these parts in the last few days. However, I doubt we will be talking around the campfire about him much any time soon. I don't believe we are currently allowed any fires at all out there right now, are we? Maybe we'll all just sit around the laptop and discuss his infamy. In the meantime, Wyatt should not feel obliged to prove any of us wrong. If he is as good as he claims he is, we will probably be the first to find out. Don't get me wrong...I think he needs to tighten a few screws, but then, so do most of us, including myself. We owe a debt of thanks to WW for bringing some excitement to the forum.
As for Wyatt, at least he won't have to worry about any of us following him into the mountain...

Wiz & co,
Your comments are for the most part right on the money. My own experience has been that the vast majority of Dutch Hunters are for the most part good, decent men. The reason they dont post a whole lot and share a whole lot of info, is, I beleive, because they have what they consider to be valid info either obtained by hard work, research or luck....
I think Mr Wyatt started out on the wrong foot by telling the forum membership that they (paraphrasing here) didnt really know how to go about "treaure hunting" and that he did. The problem that Wyatt has encountered is that there is a host of folks on this forum who are experts in all things related to the LDM..and as such, his comments were taken the wrong way.
In any event, I'd be interested in learning how the Stone Maps lead Mr Wyatt to the "Dutchmans Tools". If the Stone Maps were made by Mexican Miners I would assume that they would lead to MEXICAN mines or treasure, rather than Waltz's tools....but heck, what do I know.....

Black Beard,
It's interesting that you made that post while logged on as "Wyatt Westwood". The conversation between you two must also have been interesting.
Well, disappointed or not, you can't really have expected to get on a site like this, full of Dutch hunters, many of whom have been at it for a long time and none of whom have ever heard of you, and convince everyone that you are a legend. If you had shown a sense of humor when you were called on the "legendary" thing, none of this would have happened. A lot of us would have liked to hear more about your finds.
Relax a little. Unclench. You'll enjoy life sooo much more.
All the best,
Wiz
