george kidd
ive just come across a reference to a george kidd, who apparently vanished in the mountains in 1949 while searching .according to this snippett he was a very wealthy man, who before embarking on his trip donated $500,000(no doubt exaggerated) to some phsychic research mob, to be given to anyone who could contact him after his death. no doubt an oddball ,but according to the story he had pertinent information(dont they all) regarding the/a mine. anyone know any more than that?

Just Kidding
DED and Wiz,
James Kidd (not George) is the correct "perp" here.
It is not that unusual to have writers butcher the facts.
You might find this of interest"
"This is my first and only will and is dated the second of January, 1946. I have no heirs and have not been married in my life and after all my funeral expenses have been paid and $100. one hundred dollars to some preacher of the gospel to say fare well at my grave sell all my property which is all in cash and stocks with E. F. Hutton co Phoenix some in safety deposit box, and have this balance money to go in a research or some scientific proof of a soul of the human body which leaves at death I think in time their can be a photograph of soul leaving the human at death, James Kidd."
Kidd's lack of formal education, he did not make it beyond grade school, shows in his will, but you can see that his thought process shows a great deal of intelligence. He was an avid reader.
The actual amount of his estate, came to $270,000 which was awarded to
the American Society for Psychical research after a long legal battle among 130 contestors. You will find a number of different figures for the worth of his estate, but I believe this is the correct amount.
Respectfully,
Joe

Proof
DED,
Not sure if anyone has produced such a photograph, but I understand that a few grams of wt. are lost at the moment of death. I seem to remember hearing of a special photo being taken at death, which shows something leaving the body.

Joe

DED, Joe; I have seen the pic of the instant of death. I have to say it looked like static electric , gas or the soul was leaving the body!

Weight and See
Bill,
If gas leaves the body at the instant of death, would the body gain or lose weight?
