What a cool forum! I'm so glad to have found this link--I had no idea it existed before now!
I feel lucky to live just about 45 minutes from the Superstition Mountain range. I actually made it out to the Lost Dutchman's Trail about a month ago when it was covered in SNOW, of all crazy things! I wrote an article about it here, including some pictures:

Did anyone else get out to the range during this time? It made finding any gold just about impossible
Anyhow, I've been a huge fan of the legend of the Lost Dutchman's Gold Mine all my life. I made a pact with a girl in the 7th grade, promising I would one day find the gold myself. I've got just about every book on the topic, and enjoy visiting Goldfield and the Superstitions.
Although I haven't FOUND the gold yet, I did go ahead and create a PC game based loosely on the legend. It's full of breathtaking desert landscapes, fun puzzles, memorable characters, the savage Apaches, and of course, a quest for lost gold! The town in the game is based on Goldfield, and you can see some references in the game's artwork.
Anyhow, if you enjoy classic adventure games for the PC (like the old Sierra games--i.e. King's Quest), and the LDM legend, you'll love this game. It's currently in the final stage of testing, and will be availble in the coming months. If you'd like to check out more information, you can at the link posted above (thanks geoff!)...you can also sign up for the mailing list on our official website to be notified of the game's release.

I'm wondering, does anyone here know how to make an item available at the Goldfield Giftshop? I'm thinking our PC game might be an interesting souvenir to sell at the giftshop, since it's related to the Lost Dutchman's Legend...
Thanks in advance for any advice.
